Lady Eagles Varsity Volleyball Rolls On

On Thursday, The Varsity Lady Eagles Volleyball Team played their best match of the season against district opponent Sheridan Hills Christian School and came away with a three set win 25 - 13 25 - 19 and 25 - 15.  Outstanding serving was turned in by Maddy Ball, Alex Starr, Sami Beauparlant and Megan Sharp.  Solid performances were turned in by Sami Beauparlant, Olivia Galel, Rebekah Beauparlant and Talyor Grillone.  The team is now 7 - 1 overall and 4 - 0 in district play.  The team will take on also undefeated in district Grandview Prep on Tuesday, September 27th at 5:15 at home.

Lady Eagles MS Volleyball Wins Again

On Thursday, The Middle School Lady Eagles Volleyball Team remained undefeated at 6 - 0 by defeated non league opponent Sheridan Hills Christian School by the score of 25 - 19 and 25 - 9.  Outstanding serving was turned in by Shayna Dash, Isabella Gerstin, Diana Lerner and Olivia Ball.  Outstanding offense and defense was turned in by Tali Tirosh, Blayse Freedman and Madeline Weinstein.   The team has a home match vs Grandview Prep next Tuesday at 4:00 pm

Weiss and Kamber Run Well at Pine Crest Meet

Congratulations to Rosalie Weiss for coming in 45th place out of 168 runners at one of the largest cross country meets yesterday at Mills Pond Park.  Rosalie's time was 23:28.  That is a fantastic time for a 6th grader who ran against mostly high school runners.  Congratulations to Ethan Kamber for being the top DKJA male runner and finishing 143 out of 216 runners with a time of 23:27.  The team travels to Markham park next Wednesday for a meet at 4:00 pm.

Lady Eagles Middle School Volleyball Moves to 5 - 0

On Wednesday, The Lady Eagles Middle School Volleyball Team secured a playoff spot with a convincing league win over The Sagemont School by he score of 25 - 10 and 25 - 11.  Shayna Dash led the way with 17 service points.  Olivia Ball, Diana Lerner, Tali Tirosh, Blayse Freedman, and Madeline Weinstein all contributed in the team win.  The team is now 5 - 0 on the season.

Eagles High School Flag Football Moves to 4 - 0

The Varsity Flag Football team secured another victory yesterday against Sagemont by a score of 46-19. The team executed brilliantly on both sides of the ball and put together an amazing performance. Noah Bick led the charge on offense with 5 touchdown passes, 1 each to Josh Salama, Adam Saitowitz, and Adam Salama. He also threw 2 touchdowns to Michael ShermanDanny Siemens and Adam Salama both added 1 touchdown each. The defense intercepted Sagemont 4 times, with Justin Hier, Dylan Joseph, Adam Saitowitz and Amit Melamed taking one away each. Outstanding performances were also turned in by Abe Waserstein, Matthew Levine, Ari Holzhauer and Edan Mayron

Middle School Flag Football Defeats Somerset Pines

On Tuesday, The DKJA Middle School Boys' Flag Football Team earned their first win of the season yesterday against Somerset Pines to improve their record to 1-1.  In the second quarter, the Eagles scored first with a 10 yard touchdown pass from Scott Houtkin to Sammy Hodes.  In the third quarter another Houtkin to Hodes pass extended the Eagles lead to 12-0.  In the fourth quarter, Josh Rosenblatt intercepted a pass and ran it back for the Eagles third touchdown.  Ari Smith ended the game with a sack and safety for the 20-0 Eagles win.  On defense Jake Haskin led the team with 5 tackles and Sammy Siemens recorded a sack.  Jeff Cohen had a deflection earlier in the game on 4th down to keep Somerset Pines out of the end zone.

Middle School Volleyball Stays Undefeated

Yesterday, The Lady Eagles Middle School Volleyball Team easily defeated the Posnack Rams by the score of 25 - 6 and 25 - 12.  Isabella Gerstin led the way with 21 service points. Shayna Dash and Diana Lerner added 5 service points each.  Olivia Ball, Tali Tirosh, Blayse Freedman and Madeline Weinstein had numerous assists and kills. The team is now 4 - 0 on the season.  The Lady Eagles can clinch a playoff spot with a win tomorrow vs Sagemont at home at 4:00 pm.  Come out and see some great volleyball.
