Middle School JV Basketball Team Beats Hillel in OT

On Tuesday, The Middle School JV Boys Basketball Team improved to 3 - 0 in league play and 4 - 1 overall with a thrilling overtime victory over cross campus rival Hillel Boca by the score of 37 - 36.  Marcus Weiss made the go ahead free throw with 6 seconds left to win the game.  Jaden Moran led all scorers with 14 points.  Marcus Weiss chipped in with 12 points.  Justin Kranitz added 6 points, Dovie Kazinec 4 points and Noah Bard 1 point.  Outstanding defense was turned in by Alex Rosenthal and Michael Hakim.

Eagles Varsity Tennis Team Wins Opener

Last Thursday,  The Eagles Tennis Team defeated district opponent Westminster Christian Academy of Fort Lauderdale by the score of 5 - 2.  Singles Winners were :  Chad Friedman 6 - 0, Aaron Brenner 6 - 2, Ben Zeuner 6 - 0, and Jake Celler 6 - 2.  Aaron Brenner and Andrew Behmoiras teamed up in doubles to win 6 - 2.  For the Lady Eagles, Jessica Siegel was the only winner at 1st singles by the score of 6 - 0 .  Both teams take on Posnack Day School on Wednesday, February 15th at 4:00 pm at home.

Lady Eagles Varsity Basketball Wins Two Straight District Games

Yesterday, The Lady Eagles Varsity Basketball Team improved to 2 - 4 and 2 - 2 in district play with a solid team effort victory over Atlantic Christian by the score of  47 - 37.  Sydney Levine led the way with 16 points. Isabella Gerstin chipped in with a solid 11 points. Sammi Schlissel added 8 points, Gabi Cohen had 6 points, and Olivia Galel and Amy Kraft had 3 points each.  Solid defense for the Lady Eagles was turned in by Dana Levine, Amy Kraft and Olivia Ball.  

Lady Eagles Middle School Basketball League Champions 2016

On Wednesday, The Lady Eagles Middle School Girls Basketball team earned the middle schools 10th Independent Athletic League Championship by defeating Hochberg Prep by the score of 16 - 15.  Amy Kraft, Isabella Gerstin, Dana Levine, Olivia ball, and Shayna Dash led the offense while Rebekah Beauparlant, Sarah Louis, and Romy Hurwitz helped out on defense.  The team finished a perfect 10 - 0 on the season.  Girls basketball now has won the league championship 2 of the last 3 years.

Lady Eagles Middle School Basketball Team Moves on to Championship

On Tuesday, The Lady Eagles Middle School Basketball Team moved on to the championship of the Independent Athletic League with a hard fought victory over BMA by the score of 14 - 9 .  The Lady Eagles struggled early and were down 8 - 4  at halftime missing many easy baskets.  The Lady Eagles allowed only 1 point in the second half and pulled away with a solid team effort at the end for the win.  Amy Kraft led all scorers with 5 points.  Dana Levine chipped in with 3 points.  Rebecca Beauparlant and Shayna Dash added 2 points each and Olivia Ball and Isabella Gerstin each had 1 point.  Romy Hurwitz played outstanding defense for the Lady Eagles. 

Varsity Soccer teams Sweep Coral Springs Christian School

The Varsity boys' and girls' soccer teams on Tuesday swept by district opponent Coral Springs Christian School yesterday by the score of 3 - 0 and 2 - 1.  Adam Saitowitz, Noah Bick and Adam Salama scored goals for the Eagles. Ari Holzhauer, Ethan Kamber each had assists and goalie Robbie Shinder recorded his 3rd shutout of the season.  For the Lady Eagles, Lauryn Faber and Julia Levy scored goals in the close game.  Rebecca Wirtschafter, Dana Lipson, Danielle Chaham, Rachel Salama, Raquel Cayne, Alexa Mesch and Goalie Alana Rose Meyer had outstanding games in the victory.  The Eagles improved to 8 - 2 - 1 overall and 3 - 1 -1 in district play and secured the #3 seed for the playoffs January 23rd.  The Lady Eagles improved to 4 - 5 overall and 1 - 4 in district play and secured the #5 seed for the upcoming playoffs January 16th.

Lady Eagles Varsity Wins District Contest

On Monday, The Lady Eagles Varsity Basketball Team defeated Glades Day School by the score of 47 - 23.  Sydney Levine led all scorers with 22 points, including 2, 3 pointers. Gabi Cohen chipped in with 13 points, including 2, 3 pointers.  Amy Kraft added 6 points along with Isabella Gerstin with 4 points and Dana Levine with 2 points.
