Eagles Baseball Team Wins Three in a Row this Week

This week, The Middle School Boys Baseball Team set a school record by winning three games in three days and scoring 31 runs and not giving up one single run to the three opponents.  Dominating pitching performances were turned in by 8th grader Sawyer Feller, who pitched 6 innings, Zev Englander, who threw 4 innings, and 5th grader Jesse Rosenblatt, who three three innings of shut out baseball.  In that span the Eagles only allowed two hits to Posnack Day School, Brauser Maimonides, and Somerset Pines of Pompano Beach.  The hitting stars of the games were Sawyer Feller, Sam Bernstein, Blayse Freedman, Jesse Rosenblatt, Avery Isan, Sam Fischer, Meir Hoffman and Noam Bernstein.   The team has secured a playoff spot with a 3 - 1 record for the first time in six years and play a final home game the first day back from spring break against The Sagemont School before the 8th graders head off to Israel at 4:00 pm

Eagles Baseball Loses To Top Team in League 7 - 3

The Eagles Middle School Baseball Team on Monday lost to the top in the league 7 - 3.  5th grader Jesse Rosenblatt pitched a great game holding the Lions to just 4 earned runs.  He did not walk a batter in his 5 innings of work.  Offensive stars of the game were:  Sawyer Feller with a triple, walk  and 2 runs scored.  Sam Bernstein had 2 hits and 2 runs scored.  Noam Bernstein and Blayse Freedman contributed hits as well.  Sawyer Feller came in to pitch late in the game and struck out all 4 batters he faced.  The team travels to Posnack Day School on Monday for a  league game at 4:00 pm. 

Eagles Middle School tennis Team Has 2 - 1 Week

This week, The Eagles Middle School Tennis Team defeated St Marks 4 - 1 on Monday and Boca Christian 4 - 1 on Tuesday but lost to Hillel Boca yesterday.  Singles winners for the week were: Gabe Sareli (8 - 1), Scott Houtkin (8 - 3) and (8 - 2), Josh Koolik (8 - 3), and Dean Heller (8 - 2).  Doubles winners for the week were: Dean Heller/Mori Schacter (8 - 5) and Ben Zeuner/Josh Koolik (8 - 2).  The team travels on Monday, April 11th to Posnack Day School for a 3:45 pm match. 

Lady Eagles Tennis Has 2 - 1 Week

This week, The Lady Eagles Middle School Tennis Team defeated Boca Christian 4 - 1 on Tuesday and Hillel Boca 3 - 2 yesterday but lost to St Marks on Monday.  Singles winners for the week were Shayna Dash (8 - 5), Tali Tirosh (8 - 2) and (8 - 6), Dani Vine (8-3) and (8 - 5).  Doubles winners were: Cate Rosenthal/Lauryn Friedman (8 - 2) and Liora Egosi/Michelle Friedman (8 - 3).  The team travels on Monday, April 11th to Posnack Day School for a 3:45 pm match.

High School Tennis Teams Finish 4th in Districts

Congratulations to the Eagles and Lady Eagles Tennis Teams for finishing in 4th place in the District 14 - 1A playoffs this week.  There were 8 teams in the district tournament.  The Following singles players made it to the semi finals of their bracket:  Chad Friedman #2, Matthew Levine #4, Jessica Siegel #1, Carly Blick #5 and Megan Sharp #2.  In Doubles for the Eagles, #1Sam Glaun teamed up with Chad Friedman and #2 David Abady and Matthew Levine teamed up to make it to the semi finals.  For the Lady Eagles, #2 Ashley Klein and Maddy Ball teamed up to make it to the semi finals.  Both teams finished with a season long winning record and had a great showing at districts in spite of all the rain.

Eagles Middle School Baseball Wins Home Opener

Yesterday, The Eagles Middle School Baseball Team took to the field and came away with a 4 - 0 win over rival Boca Raton Christian School. Sawyer Feller threw a no hitter, struck out 15 batters, and only walked one batter..  No Blazer hitter hit the ball out of the infield.  The Eagles got on the board first with a lead  off triple by Sawyer and Jesse Rosenblatt drove him in with a hard hit ball to second base.  Sawyer finished with 2 hits and two runs scored.  Sam Bernstein hit an inside the park two run home run to seal with win in the 5th inning. Also contributing hits were Jesse Rosentblatt (and one run scored) and Sam Fischer. The team travels to St Marks on Monday for a very tough league game at 4:00 pm

Middle School Spring Tryouts in Baseball and Tennis

The middle school boys baseball tryouts will take place Wednesday, March 9th and Thursday, March 10th from 3:30 to 5:00 pm on our field.  Come dressed in baseball gear to tryout. 

The middle school boys and girls tennis team tryouts will take place Thursday, march 10th from 3:30 to 5:00 pm on the courts.  Come dressed with a racket ready to play.
